Can I transfer money from BDO to Maya

Yes. You can make a transfer from BDO to Maya³ to cash in your Maya account for spending, or to send a payment to someone else.

BDO to Maya transfers are available for Maya basic account holders, as well as for people who have upgraded their accounts.

You’ll initiate the payment to Maya from the BDO app or online banking network, or you can set up your payment over the counter (OTC) if you prefer. Different limits apply, but in each case your money should arrive pretty much right away once the payment is processed.

BDO to Maya transfer limit

The BDO to Maya transfer limit depends on how you send your money.

To transfer from BDO to Maya online and in the BDO app, there’s a minimum payment of 100 PHP, and a maximum of 50,000 PHP.

To transfer from BDO to Maya in person with an OTC payment, there’s a minimum payment of 500 PHP with the maximum amount being the maximum you’re allowed to hold in your Maya wallet. This wallet limit depends on the type of Maya account you have⁴.

The maximum wallet limit is as follows, based on your account type:

  • Basic accounts - 50,000 PHP monthly
  • Upgraded accounts - 100,000 PHP monthly
  • Super Users accounts - 500,000 PHP monthly
  • Ultimate Users accounts - 5 million PHP monthly

BDO to Maya transfer fee

There’s a 10 PHP BDO to Maya transfer fee which applies when you cash in using the BDO app or online banking service.

If you make a BDO OTC cash in you may need to pay a convenience fee of 2%, depending on the value of other cash deposits you’ve made that month. Generally you can deposit up to 8,000 PHP over the counter to Maya, and your convenience fee of 2% is refunded to you the following month.

How to transfer money from BDO to Maya

Here’s how to transfer money from BDO to Maya in the BDO Online app:

  1. Log in to your account on the BDO app
  2. Tap Send Money and then To Another Local Bank
  3. Choose Maya Philippines, Inc. and then enter the details of the cash in amount
  4. Compete the security step by entering the OTP or PIN
  5. Confirm and you’ll get an SMS to confirm the transfer has been processed

You can also transfer money from BDO to Maya in any BDO branch:

  1. In a BDO Branch complete the BDO Cash Transaction Slip
  2. Check the Bills Payment box and enter Maya as the company name, your own name and your phone number
  3. Add the value to cash in and check everything over
  4. Give the form and your cash to the teller
  5. You’ll get an SMS to confirm the transfer has been processed - wait in the branch until this is received

How can I get a BDO to Maya free transfer

You may be able to get a BDO to Maya free transfer if you make an OTC cash in and your monthly cash in amount is below 8,000 PHP. However, in this case you still have to pay the 2% convenience fee, which is then returned to you the following month if you qualify.

All payments from the app or online cost 10 PHP, with no advertised way to make a free cash in transfer.

What to do if Maya cash in using BDO is not available?

If Maya cash in using BDO is not available due to a system fault, you can contact the Maya support team through an in app chat⁶, or by calling 1800 1084 57788. The team can advise you if there’s a general outage or if there are steps you can make to complete your cash in.

Alternatively, use one of the other Maya cash in methods, such as paying in at a convenience store, department store or self service kiosk⁷.
