If you need to get from Kertajati International Airport to Bandung you have a few options, including public transport using bus routes, or taxis and similar shuttle services. If you want to get the Kertajati Airport to Bandung train there’s no direct route, but you can pick up the train to Bandung from a nearby station with a bit of planning.

Kertajati International Airport is about 68 km from Bandung, in the district of Kertajati, Majalengka.
The airport was opened in 2018, and development has been ongoing, including construction of a toll road to improve the transport links and alleviate transportation congestion. At the time of writing, the routes to Bandung from Kertajati International Airport center around buses and taxis, although there has been talk of extending the train lines to offer a direct service in the future.

The most commonly used options are to go from Kertajati Airport to Bandung by bus, or to make the journey from Kertajati Airport to Bandung by taxi or using a prearranged airport transport service. Both of these options are relatively simple and direct, making them popular - and the bus routes are also very reasonably priced.
The final option is to get from the airport to a train station and pick up a train to Bandung. While this is possible, it’s likely to take longer, and be more complicated, compared to the other transport options. Let’s look at each route in more detail.
Kertajati Airport markets 2 regular bus services, and 2 executive class bus services which run from the airport to various different drop off points in Bandung City.
Standard buses are under 30 MYR for a ticket. The executive services are slightly more expensive but the price is still extremely reasonable at just about 35 MYR, making this a solid choice even for budget travelers. The journey time by bus will vary depending on the travel and the number of pickup and drop off points required.
It’s a good idea to call ahead and check the bus timings, or talk to the staff in the airport before you decide which bus to get on. There are various bus counters as you come through the arrivals area, so you’ll be able to ask about the next departures based on your arrival time.

Going from Kertajati Airport to Bandung by taxi is the other popular option and while it is more expensive than taking a bus, it may be faster and more convenient. You can pick your destination exactly so you won’t need to navigate around Bandung on arrival, and you can also choose the car size to suit your group and the luggage you have with you. If you’re travelling in a larger group or have a lot of baggage, this can be a helpful choice.

Aside from getting a metered taxi at the airport you can also use an airport transfer service which you book in advance. This can be helpful as the driver will wait for you in the event that your flight is delayed, so you’ll know that the rest of your trip will go as smoothly as possible.
So what does it cost to go from Kertajati Airport to Bandung by taxi ?
If you use an airport transfer service you can agree the Kertajati Airport to Bandung taxi fare in advance.
If not you’ll need to rely on the taxi meter, and the eventual price will be decided by the length of the journey. For Blue Bird Taxis, the advertised price is 4.800 IDR/km but as prices change and can be influenced by arrival times, toll costs and more, you may want to check this in advance of travel.
It is possible to go from Kertajati Airport to Bandung by train but this is complicated and can be time consuming as you need to get to the train station first by taxi or bus, as there is none at the airport.
The closest station to the airport is Jatibarang Station which is about 30 minutes by road. From here you can get the train to Bandung - but this may take another couple of hours. Overall this option is more complex than the alternatives, and so only worth considering if you have a particular reason to arrive in Bandung by train rather than by road.
Getting from Bandung City back to Kertajati will work in a pretty similar way, just in the opposite direction. If you're going to use the bus, be sure to make note of the collection point in Bandung, as different bus services drop off and pick up passengers in different parts of the city.
