Sprout Social pricing overview

Sprout Social offers four plans: Standard, Professional, Advanced, and Enterprise. Pricing depends on how many seats (users) you need. You can pay monthly or save by choosing annual billing.

This table shows an overview of each pricing plan:²

PlanMonthly billing cost (per seat)Annual billing cost (per seat)Best for
Standard$249$199Small businesses managing a few profiles
Professional$399$299Teams managing multiple profiles with high engagement
Advanced$499$399Agencies and larger companies with cross-functional teams and workflows
EnterpriseCustomCustomOrganisations with large-scale social media operations

Now that you have an idea of what each plan costs, let’s take a closer look at what they offer and which plan is right for your business.

Standard plan pricing

The Standard plan is Sprout Social’s starting point. It costs $249 per seat each month if you pay monthly. On an annual subscription, the price drops to $199 per seat per month. Each extra user also costs the same $199 when billed annually.

Standard plan features

  • Up to 5 social profiles
  • Unified inbox for all messages
  • Content calendar and post scheduling
  • Review management
  • Basic reporting and monitoring
  • 90 days of conversation history
  • Access through the mobile app

Is the Standard plan right for my business?

Standard works for small businesses that want to keep their social accounts organised without paying for more than they need. If you’re running a few core channels like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, this plan gives you the tools to publish posts, reply to messages, and track engagement. But if you’re already juggling more platforms or need deeper analytics, you may need a higher plan.

Professional plan pricing

The Professional plan costs $399 per user each month. If you choose annual billing, the price reduces to $299 per user per month.

Professional plan features

  • Unlimited social profiles
  • Tag messages and track them in reports
  • Competitor and paid performance insights for Facebook, Instagram, and X
  • Scheduling with optimal send times
  • AI Assist to improve posts
  • Digital asset and content library
  • Campaign tagging with advanced publishing permissions
  • Approval workflows for posts and messages
  • Keyword and trend reports for X
  • Shareable, branded reports for external stakeholders

Is the Professional plan right for my business?

Professional is the most popular choice because it lifts the limits on social profiles. It's good if you need to post across every major social media platform.

Agencies and in-house marketers benefit from the approval workflows, campaign tagging, and competitor benchmarks. If your business has grown past the basics, this plan keeps everything under control without jumping into enterprise pricing.

Advanced plan pricing

Advanced costs $499 per user each month, or $399 per user on an annual subscription.

Advanced plan features

  • AI Assist with message tone and length edits
  • Inbox sentiment analysis for incoming messages and reviews
  • Automated chatbots for Facebook and X
  • Spike alerts for unusual message volume
  • Advanced workflows with automation rules
  • Digital asset and content library with expanded options
  • Priority support and consulting services

Is the Advanced plan right for my business?

Advanced makes sense if you’re running social at scale and need more than publishing and basic reports. The plan also adds workflow automation and spike alerts, which help you react quickly when message volume suddenly climbs. If your business relies on social as a main customer channel, Advanced gives you the tools to stay on top of it.

Enterprise plan pricing

Enterprise doesn’t have set pricing. The rate depends on how many people in your team need access and what level of support you want. To get a figure, you’ll need to speak with Sprout Social’s sales team.

Enterprise plan features

  • Everything in Advanced
  • Custom onboarding and training
  • Expanded analytics and reporting
  • Social listening to track trends and brand sentiment
  • Influencer marketing tools
  • Dedicated success manager and priority support
  • Single sign-on with SAML
  • Access to training, certifications, and private events

Is the Enterprise plan right for my business?

This plan is for big organisations with complex needs. If you run multiple brands, manage global accounts, or need higher security, Enterprise is the option.

Listening tools allow you to see what people are saying about your brand, and features in the influencer section can introduce you to new audiences. You do not have to figure things out on your own with custom onboarding and a dedicated manager.

How much do Sprout Social add-ons cost?

Sprout Social offers several add-ons that extend what the core plans can do. These extras are priced separately, and you’ll need to contact sales for a custom quote.

The options include Listening, which allows you to track conversations and identify emerging trends, and Premium Analytics, which provides over 150 additional reports and interactive dashboards.² There’s also Employee Advocacy, designed to help staff share curated content on their own networks, and an Influencer Marketing tool to find and manage partnerships with creators.

For larger teams, Sprout Social also sells a Premier Success Plan. This offers platform optimisation, product roadmap guidance, faster support, and one-on-one onboarding. While smaller businesses often find the core plans enough, these add-ons can give bigger organisations the extra depth and support they need.

What is the pricing currency for Sprout?

Sprout Social shows all prices in US dollars. For UK businesses, paying in a foreign currency such as USD can mean additional fees. But with a Wise Business account, you can pay your subscription in USD. Wise lets you hold over 40+ currencies, and pay subscriptions at the mid-market rate with low fees*.

How to save on your Sprout Social bill next month

Sprout Social can be a significant cost, especially since it’s charged per seat. The following measures will assist UK businesses in containing expenses:

  • Choose the right plan: Standard covers the basics if you manage a few profiles. Professional is better when you require unlimited profiles and competitor insights. Advanced or Enterprise are only worth it if you’ll use features like sentiment analysis, chatbots, or listening.
  • Review seat usage: Each user adds hundreds of dollars per month. Audit who in your team really needs a full seat. Some roles may only need access to reports, which can be shared without adding another licence.
  • Audit unused features: Many teams don’t use everything in their plan. For example, Professional includes campaign tagging, approval workflows, and a digital asset library. If your team isn’t making use of these, you might be paying for tools that sit idle.
  • Save by paying annually: Choosing annual billing brings down the per-user price. The savings are significant if you know you’ll stick with Sprout Social for the full year.
  • Watch currency costs: Sprout Social bills in USD, so your card provider may add on 2–3% for every payment. Over a year, that can add up.
  • Pay with Wise Business: With a Wise Business account, you can hold dollars, pay your Sprout Social bill directly in USD, and always get the mid-market exchange rate. You avoid hidden markups, and with employee cards, you can set spend limits for SaaS tools across your team.

Get Wise Business for Smart Savings

With Wise Business, you can hold 40+ currencies, including USD, and pay your subscription straight from your USD. Wise uses the mid-market rate, with no hidden markups, so you know exactly what you’re spending.

If your team also covers the cost of other tools, you can give employees Wise multi-currency cards with separate spending limits. You can monitor all that on a single dashboard, and the designers, marketers, or account managers can cover their own subscriptions.

In the UK, opening a Wise Business account costs £45. You also earn 0.5% cashback on card payments, helping you get more from every subscription your business pays for.
